This Foundation was created to mark the anniversary of Samuel Alemayehu Asfaw’s unexpected and untimely death on December 29, 2005, a grim day for all the people who loved him deeply.

In order to honor and remember Samuel’s thoughtful, giving heart and his dream to make life worthwhile for the millions of needy and deprived young Ethiopians , his family and his loving friends set up the “SAMUEL ALEMAYEHU FOUNDATION” on December 29, 2006, exactly one year after his death.

ABOUT  THE FOUNDATION

Samuel always believed in education and continuously encouraged young and old alike to never stop learning. This foundation strives to honor his dedication to learning by helping students in Ethiopia to further their education

The recipients will be picked by assigned, qualified individuals in Ethiopia and the work of this foundation will be closely supervised by responsible individuals who know what Samuel's dream was.
